Dr. Debra Draper was born in Bloomington, Indiana and spent time growing up in Colorado Springs and Phoenix. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Arizona State University, then moved to Florida to pursue a Master’s Degree in Marine Biology. She went on to earn her DVM from the University of Florida in 2004.
Dr. Draper has worked at small animal practices in Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta and South New Jersey where she had many opportunities to advance her training and skills in treating a wide variety of cases. During that time she grew to appreciate the importance of the role pets play in the lives of their families.
She has joined the healthcare team of Northern Liberties Veterinary Center to continue pursuing her professional interests including critical care, soft tissue and oral surgery, geriatric medicine and feline medicine.
Dr. Draper resides in West Collingswood along with her husband, who is an aquatic veterinarian at the Adventure Aquarium. Their “children” include a goofy Golden Retriever, a sweet old lab, and two feisty cats, along with several fish and corals. In her free time she enjoys running, cooking, gardening, home-brewing and spending as much time as possible in the sun!
